The Charity Guild of Catholic Women has distributed more than $9.5 million to over 200 children’s charities since 1996.
Charity Guild of Catholic Women accepts grant applications from agencies in the greater Houston area that serve children in need from the time of conception to the 18th birthday. Although the goals of these charities must be consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church, the Charity Guild provides grants without regard to race, ethnicity, gender, or creed.
Each applying charity must have an active Charity Guild member as a sponsor. This sponsor verifies that the organization serves children who are challenged and need additional support to thrive and that funding from Charity Guild will make a significant difference in a child’s life. The sponsor must also provide to the Children’s Charities Committee a signed Verification of Sponsor Form stating that she is aware your agency is listing her as sponsor.

The annual application period is from March 15 through June 15. The Children’s Charities Committee carefully reviews all applications and schedules site visits from mid-June through mid-September.
