The Charity Guild of Catholic Women is an organization of 576 women from 71 parishes in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
The Guild looks to the future while honoring the past, from the needlework and monetary donations of 59 committed women in 1922 to the present time with 610 volunteers, many of whom work in the shop, and many who serve in one or more of the 25 committees available to members. The sanctification of members and assisting children in need remains our mission.
Members volunteered 89,441 hours in 2020-2021 even with the Charity Guild Shop being closed the first 3 months in our calendar year. These volunteer hours provide 96% of the labor force in the shop and also represent participation on one or more of 24 committees.
